It’s always more fun to watch a music video when you have some background deets like the artist’s intention and director’s vision. Our ‘Footnotes’ series does just that, and the latest episode finds our LIFT alum Khalid explaining the particulars of the shoot for his „Young Dumb & Broke“ video. He says it was like a daydream, where he „imagining myself with…all the friends I have now in high school.“ Director Calmatic shot the vid at his own alma mater in LA, the school that was used in ‚Straight Outta Compton.‘ Find out more fun facts about it in ‚Footnotes.‘
