The duo named themselves “Flatdisk” to emphasize how circularity exists in both life and music, similar to how a vinyl, CD, a disk, a spaceship or galaxy is circular and consistently evolving. Axel’s upbringing involved performing in various bands with experience in playing guitar, bass and drums, while Leonardo’s background stemmed from studying violin and piano in the conservatory.
